George Kennedy “Ken” Willmott, 62, passed away early Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, following a brief illness.
Ken was born in Lexington to the late George F. Willmott Jr. and Carol Jean Clendenen Willmott. Ken farmed in Fayette and Woodford counties most of his life. He was a “Gentle Giant” and will be missed by all who knew him.
His sister and brother-in-law, Lancye and Joe Douglas of Penfield, New York, survive Ken. In addition to his parents, his grandparents, an aunt and several uncles preceded him in death. “Mr. Kenny” is also survived by special friends, Bob and Marian, Jade and Ricardo, and Karl.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Bradford Square in Frankfort for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided for Ken during 2021. Thanks also go to Bluegrass Hospice Care of Frankfort for their support.
A memorial visitation for Ken will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, from 9 until 10 a.m. at Milward – Broadway, 159 N. Broadway, Lexington, with a celebration of his life to follow at 10 a.m. Private interment in Lexington Cemetery.
