Genelle Reed Themann, 74, of Lexington, wife of William A. Theman III, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, in Lexington.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. George C. and Nelle Hardin Reed. She was a Woodford girls’ youth sports commissioner, Bluegrass Ladies’ Golf Association, attended Margaret Hall School in Versailles, and a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where she was a Commodore Club Alumni and a member of the First Christian Church of Versailles.
Survivors include a son, Eric (Ray Orr) Themann, Naples, Florida; a sister, Candace (Michael) Barber, Lexington; three nieces, Kelley (Steve) Burchell, Kerri (Justin) Browning, both of Lexington; and Kirby (Michael) Riley, Louisville; and great-nieces and nephews, Ashton Browning, Kylie and Camden Burchell, and Piper and Teagan Riley.
Services were held Saturday, Feb. 12, at Kerr Brothers, Harrodsburg Road, Lexington. Burial followed in the Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles.
