Alice Hall Sharp, 85, widow of Omar Sharp Sr., died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at her residence. Born on July 2,1936, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Edith Sutton Hall. She was a member of Mt Vernon Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She had been president of her children’s PTA and was a classroom parent. She is survived by five children, Teri (Arthur) Bessinger, Lexington; Omar Sharp II, Versailles; Bryan (Bonnie) Hall Sharp, Morning View; Darrin Sharp and Anthony Sharp, both of Versailles; a sister, Shirley Shellenberger, Lexington; and a brother Alex (Sandy) Hall III, Lexington; four grandchildren, Lisa (Paul) Bessinger Voiles, Houston, Texas; Justin (Kara) Bessinger, Sanders; Bryan (Kristy) Allen Sharp, Georgetown; and Brandon Sharp, Versailles; and six great-grandchildren, Jack Voiles, Ella Voiles, Adwin Bessinger, Eliana Bessinger, Silas Bessinger, Judah Bessinger and Kaden Sharp. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Hall and Donald Hall. A graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel.
