Ruby Marie Sholar, 66, wife of Jerry Sholar, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born on Sept. 4, 1955, in Beattyville, she was the daughter of the late Arco and Ila Thacker Estes. She retired from Rand McNally, where she worked in the bindery.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sisters, Frances Balch, Loula Garland, Wilma Shuck, all of Danville; and Linda Estes, Frankfort; two brothers, Tommy Estes and David Estes, Harrodsburg; 12 nieces and nephews; and the Sholar family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Estes.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel.
