Michael Gage Mize, 20, died Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Born on July 29, 2001, in Frankfort, he was the son of Michael Anthony Mize and Amy Lynn Richards. He worked in landscaping.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mikayla Hope Mize; a brother, Joseph David Shea; and maternal grandfather, David (Elizabeth) Richards. He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Glenda Cox; paternal grandmother, Reba Mize; and paternal grandfather, Anthony Mize.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, May 20, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be William Hall, Dale Vickers, Patrick Brown, Trey Barber, Will Deakins, Chris Ramirez, Joseph Sutherland and Brandon Graeter. Honorary pallbearers will be Mikayla Hope Mize, Joseph David Shea, Tyler Stevens and Samantha Barber. Burial will follow in Versailles Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today, Thursday, May 19, at the funeral home.
