Lee Roy Bennett Sr., 77, husband of Dianna Hurst Bennett, died Monday,
Jan. 7, 2022, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center, Frankfort.
Born on May 10, 1945, he was the son of the late Wesley and Emaline
Hembree Bennett. He worked in the rock quarry and steel mills.
In addition to his wife of 48 years, he is survived by three daughters,
Melissa (Salome) Garcia; Christina (Scott) Curry, both of Versailles;
and Lorena (Kathy) Morehead, Lexington; three sons, Lee R. Bennett Jr.,
Versailles; Daniel (Lisa) F. Morehead, Harrodsburg; and LeRoy (Bobby)
Bennett Jr.; three sisters, Easter Napier, Shirley Hurst and Charlene
Bennett,; two brothers, Jim Bennett and Charles Bennett; 20
grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Lee Hill; two sisters,
Faye Bennett and Reva Middleton;four brothers, Glenn Bennett, Bill
Bennett, Darrel Wayne Bennett and Ronnie Bennett; and two grandchildren,
Stacy Hill and Norman Hill.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Blackburn &
Ward Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. today,
Thursday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home.
