James L. Shane Jr., 96 years of age, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at his home.
He was born in Indiana on June 6, 1927 to the late James L. Shane Sr. and Ruth Cottingham Shane, also deceased. Two siblings, Joyce Shane and David Shane, are deceased.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, and a lifelong horseman, he leaves behind his wife of 37 years and living siblings Mary Shane Miller of Boonville, Indiana; and Steven Shane of Las Animas, Colorado. A celebration of Jim’s life is being planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators-Frankfort- (Hospice) in recognition of the excellent care he received from them for almost two year.
