Martha Joyce Trowbridge, 82, widow of Charles Lewis Trowbridge, died Thursday, July 27, 2023. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born on Dec. 18, 1940, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Ennis Butler and Daphne Tatum Shewmaker, She was a retired Woodford County elementary teacher and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by three children, Karen (Doug) Trowbridge Brown, Lawrenceburg; Jeffrey (Mylissa) Trowbridge, Union; and Rebecca Trowbridge, Versailles; a sister, Patricia Hendricks, Springfield; three grandchildren, Jordan (Hanna) Brown, Matthew Trowbridge and Mycah Trowbridge; and a great-grandchild, Kimberly Brown, Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 3, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Chris, Kevin, David, Doug, Jeff and Jordan. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery.
