William David Richards, 72, husband of Elizabeth Richards, died on Friday, Aug. 18, 2023. Born July 26, 1951 in Woodford County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Florence Mildred Edwards Richards. David was a 1969 graduate of Woodford County High School. a retired Woodford County Ambulance Service EMT. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Whitney Richards, granddaughter, Summer Evans, and grandson, Gage Mize.
David is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Ward Richards, children, Davie (Dana) Richards, Versailles, Marlena (Jay) Jacobs, Versailles, David Evans, Lawrenceburg, Amy Richards, Versailles, Jarod Jackson, Jessamine County, Jason (Heather) Jackson, Versailles, siblings, Patsy (Larry) Dennis, Versailles, grandchildren, Will Hall, Tyler Stevens, Leighann Jacobs, Logan Jacobs, Joey Shea, Caleb Richards, Slade Jackson, Colebrine Jackson, Spring Evans, David Evans, mother-in-law, Doris Ward, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services were at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Burial followed at Versailles Cemetery.
