William Alan Vickers, son of the late Doug and Virginia Vickers, was born on April 23rd 1959. Alan passed away in his Winchester Kentucky home on September 10th, 2023 holding the hand of his only child Jason Alan Vickers (Stamping Ground, Ky). The 64 year old father had been battling health issues for many months, but always found peace and joy in talking about fishing, golf or any other sport while sipping on an Ale8-1. Alan was well known for being able to bust a move on the dancefloor in his younger days. He loved to travel and collect coins, however fishing was his lifelong favorite. After working at Sonoco for many years Alan decided to try his hat at flipping houses. His unique chuckle and love for his family will be remembered by many, including his older brother Morgan Vickers (Lexington, Ky), younger sister Lisa Carpenter (Lawrenceburg, Ky), nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Jacobson Park Pavilion 2 on Thursday September 21, 2023 from 4pm-8pm. His family will provide food and beverages and welcome guest to enjoy fishing for Alan. All immediate family is welcome to come a bit earlier if they choose.
