Emma Lou Crowell, 96, wife of the late Clarence Edward “Shine” Crowell, II went to be with the Lord Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Capstone Generations Sr. Living of Gallatin, Tenn. after a short illness.

Born Aug. 31, 1927, in Memphis, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Truman L. and Mildred “Mimi” Vaughan. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was an auxiliary member of the Gideons International and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Danville, Ky. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Shine; son, Clarence “Pete” Crowell, III; son, David Crowell; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Boyer; and grandson, Joel Seneff.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Seneff (Greg Sr.); her children’s spouses, Lynn Crowell, Pam Crowell and Chris Boyer; five grandchildren, Robert Crowell (Talicia); Rachael Lynch (Nathan); Alex Boyer (Shawna); Adam Boyer (Courtany); Greg Seneff, Jr. (Rachel); and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service visitation was held at 12 p.m., Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, at Grace Presbyterian Church with Pastor Shane Terrell officiating. The service was held at 1 p.m. with burial following at 2:30 p.m. at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. The family request memorial donations to Gideons International and Grace Presbyterian Church.
