Dianne Million Hosey, 72, of Midway, Ky., wife of Richard Hosey died peacefully surrounded by family at Baptist Health, Lexington, Ky. on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023. Born Jan. 2, 1951, she was the daughter of late James Robert Million (1929-1991) and Vernice Ross Million (1928-1998).
In addition to her husband of 28 years, Dianne is survived by her three sons: Ross Million Cairns, Joshua Parke Cairns (Mckayla) and Seth Althouse Cairns; four stepsons: David Hosey, Lance Hosey, Michael Hosey and Sean Hosey (Kayla).
Grandchildren: Creed Cairns, Croix Cairns, Silas Cairns, Freddie Cairns and Rosemary Hosey.
One sister, Susan Million Brown (Alan) and nephew, Chase Million Brown, and niece, Gentry Spillman Brown.
Dianne, a native of Harrodsburg, Ky., was a 1969 graduate of Harrodsburg High School and a 1973 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she majored in art. Dianne, a loyal supporter of HHS sports and school activities for her sons, an active community member volunteering with a variety of civic organizations as well as Mercer County Fair Pageant coordinator for many years, were a few of the ways she enjoyed serving her community and working with people.
Dianne was a former director for the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce, an artist as well as an interior designer/co-owner of Old Kentucky Restorations, Harrodsburg, Ky.
Most recently, Dianne was co-owner of Camelot Art & Design, Inc., and Hosey Honey Farms of Midway, Ky., along with her husband, Richard. She was a resident of Midway for 26 years.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. with visitation until 5 p.m. at the Midway Christian Church, 123 E. Bruen St., Midway, Ky. 40347. 1tp
