Charlotte Lynne Allen Shelby, 69, of Frankfort, Ky. died peacefully
surrounded by her family on Tuesday Feb. 6th at 4:15 p.m. Lynne was born
on Dec. 26, 1954, in Greenville, Ky.
She was a 1972 graduate of Greenville High School. Lynne was a kind
and loving person and faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church
of Greenville for many years, where she enjoyedserving her community and
singing in the choir. Lynne was a dedicated employee at Road Builders in
Greenville for 27 years. Lynne was a devoted mother and grandmother –
her sons and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She relocated to Versailles, Ky. in 2018 to be closer to family. In
recent years, she resided at Dominion Senior Living in Frankfort, Ky.
where she contributed her warm energy as a hospitality volunteer,
alongside her beloved dog Gizmo.
She is survived by two sons, Bradford Shelby (Jennifer) of Versailles,
Ky. and Daniel Shelby (Rachel) of Dickson, Tenn., and two grandchildren
Ella (14) and Elias (12) Shelby of Versailles, Ky.
She was preceded in death by husband, Barry Shelby, and her parents
James Allen and MarjorieDukes Allen.
A private graveside memorial will be held in Greenville at a later date.
