Katherine Frances Coubert DeBold, 88, widow of James Phillip DeBold, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at The Homeplace of Midway.
Born July 16, 1937, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Belle Veatch Coubert. She is survived by her sister, Betty Jean Mason, Frankfort; nieces, Darlene Powell, Nicholasville, and Katie Allison, Frankfort; daughter, Tammie (Gregg) Centers, Nicholasville; sons, Jimmy (Mary) DeBold and Jason DeBold, both of Versailles; and grandchildren, James DeBold, Emily DeBold and Ella DeBold, of Versailles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie Edgar Coubert.
Katherine grew up in Nonesuch, attending Clover Bottom Baptist Church. She was employed with Rand McNally for many years. She joined St. Leo Catholic Church in 1962.
Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at St. Leo Catholic Church, with Fr. Dan Noll and Fr. Chris Clay officiating.
Interment followed the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens, where pallbearers were Eric Varner, Thomas Linville, Barry Feck, David Ross, Jeff Moffett and Fred Siegelman. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Varner, Ricky Fannin, Kevin Lowe, Pat Hagan, Stan Dawson and Jon Gay.
