SUSAN D. JONES, the longtime supervisor of Woodford County Animal Control, who passed away in 2024, was honored with a bench at Falling Springs Dog Park at an Oct. 24 dedication ceremony on what would have been her 64th birthday. The plaque, which will be placed soon, reads “In honor of Susan D. Jones, thank you for 19 years of dedicated service to the welfare of animals and to the community of Woodford County. ‘Until one has loved an animal, part of one’s soul remains un-awakened,’ – Anatole France.” Many from the county government joined Susan’s family for the ceremony.
