Josephine Oliver Pettyjohn, 89, of Midway, Kentucky, widow of Oscar Lee Pettyjohn Jr., died Jan. 14, 2026. She was born in Lee County, Kentucky, on Oct. 23, 1936, to the late Homer and Margaret Barrett Oliver.
Josephine retired from Taylor Manor Nursing Home.
Josephine is survived by her children, Richard Allen (Linda) Coy, Vernon Coy III, Laura (Marshall) Wilson, Marcia (Todd) Yochem and Stephanie Jo (Charles) Angel; sisters, Elza Steele, Elowise Lutes, Glenda Spencer and Liz Spencer; brothers, Roger Oliver and Richard Oliver; grandchildren, Jessica Winters, LeAnne Mullins, Marshall Wilson, Carrie Radolph and Josh Angel; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including one special nephew, Mark Steele.
In addition to her parents, Josephine is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Isabella Barber.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, Jan.17, at 11 a.m. at Midway Cemetery.
