Barbara Jean Mathis, of Versailles, died Feb. 8, 2026. Barbara was born Aug. 13, 1937, in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, to the late Howard O. and Ida Rhae Bream Barrick Sr.
Barbara was a retired Woodford County Public Schools bus driver. She was a member of the Versailles Church of God.
She is survived by her children, Carl Reynolds (Marcy), Ricky Reynolds (Pam), Tony Reynolds (Loretta), Brian Reynolds (Trish) and Benji Reynolds (Amber); sister, Grace Lamb; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Mathis; sisters, Dorothy Harmon, Martha Soard, Ethel Lancster, Helen Stewart and Betty Barrick; and brothers, Howard Barrick Jr., Stanley Barrick and Benjamin Luther Barrick.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, also at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Zack Reynolds, Anthony Reynolds, Mistie Reynolds, Ricky Reynolds Jr., Jorden Reynolds, Roy Soard and Wyatt Courtney.
