Ethel Mae Lawson, 81, Danville, formerly of Salvisa, widow of Lewis Edward Lawson, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville.
Born on April 25, 1939, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mable Wilson Murphy. She was a retired Breuning Bearing employee.
Survivors include a son, Eddie (Linda) Lawson, Danville; three sisters, Ida (Eizie) Southerland, Martha Reed, both of Versailles; and Becky (Jimmy) Florian, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Johnnie Murphy, Lawrenceburg; and Jimmy (Betty) Murphy, Georgetown; two grandchildren, Lewis (Lindsay) E. Lawson Ill and Christopher Lee Lawson; and six great-grandchildren, Logan, Lincoln, Lucas and Emma Lawson; and Toby and Autumn Sallee. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Sammy Murphy, Norma Kincaid, Ruby Smith and Elsie Florian.
Services were held Friday, Jan. 8, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Wilson Cemetery, Casey County.
