Charles “Chuck” John Sauer died Thursday, July 7, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Chuck was born on May 12, 1954, in Louisville. He was a graduate of Woodford County High School, Western Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky. He spent most of his career as a compliance officer for the United States Department of Agriculture. Chuck was a faithful Christian and a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church. He was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with his family. He also loved fishing and golfing with his brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret (Mimi); a daughter, Helen; two brothers, Ted (Marlene) and Earl (Donna); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Christine Sauer.
A graveside service was conducted on Monday, July 11, at Versailles Cemetery.
