Richard Thacker, 77, husband of Etta Mae Thacker, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at Veterans Medical Center Lexington, Kentucky. Born May 30, 1946 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was the son of the late Rufus and Faye Deel Thacker. Richard served in the United States Army where he received Vietnam medal national defense medal, purple heart, and a bronze star.
Richard is survived by his wife, Etta Mae Dodson Thacker, Versailles, children, Michelle Adams (Kevin), Versailles, Jeremy Thacker (Patience), MeKee, grandchildren, Hannah Grace Adams, Gracelyn Thacker, Joshua Thacker, Elliana Thacker, Jeremiah Thacker, Josiah Thacker, and Anneliese Thacker
Funeral Services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, with visitation held from 12 p.m. until service time.
