Ann Cheryl Head Probus, 76, wife of William D. Probus, died Wednesday,

May 12, 2021, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born on Sept. 2, 1944, in Owensboro, she was the daughter of the late

Joseph Ralph and Hazle Waite Head. She was a retired elementary school

teacher, having taught in several school districts including Harrison

County and St. Edwards School, and was a longtime member of Calvary

Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Todd (Kelly)

Probus, Versailles; a daughter-in-law, Laura Probus, Sadieville; four

grandchildren, Eva Kate, Emma, Anna and Will Probus; and a brother,

Ralph W. Head, Medford, Oregon. She was preceded in death by a son,

David Probus.

Services were held Monday, May 17, at the Cynthiana Baptist Church by

the Rev. Hank Ellington and Pastor Jeromey Northcutt. Casket bearers

were Ed Culbertson, John Glover, Allen Head, Hunter Hicks, Stephen

Northcutt and Griff Probus. Honorary casket bearers were Jeff Head,

Samuel Martin, Rob Probus, Jack Sifford, Don Snopek and Dr. A.C. Wright.

Committal services by Dr. Larry Bishop immediately followed in Battle

Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging

at the University of Kentucky.
