LUKE CRAIG, who’d been on the run since escaping from the Fayette
Regional Juvenile Detention Center Sunday, was apprehended by Versailles
police Monday at 6:40 p.m. in the tree line behind Kroger. Craig is
accused of the September shooting deaths of his mother and younger
sister in Anderson County. Versailles Assistant Police Chief Rob Young
credited night shift officers and the department’s K-9 unit with acting
quickly on a tip about Craig, who was considered dangerous. Craig was
transferred to the custody of state police, who are investigating his
