Ethel Haynes Bearer, 83, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, at Harrodsburg Health and Rehab.

Born on Nov. 17, 1937, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late William Eugene and Dorothy Million Haynes Sr. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School and worked for the Fayette County Clerk’s office and Woodford County Middle School. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Ricky (Kelly) Vaught, Versailles; a daughter, Melinda Lou Vaught, Nicholasville; two sisters, Linda Taulbee, Lexington; and Dorothy McIntyre, Versailles; a brother, Stanley (DeRonda) Haynes, Florida; two grandchildren, Melissa (Rashon) Williams, Georgetown; and Christopher Vaught, Frankfort; and two great-grandchildren, Audrey Jones and Natalie Vaught. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clint Vaught; and two brothers, Harvey Haynes and William Eugene Haynes Jr.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today Thursday, Nov. 4, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home.
