Lawrence “Larry” Bowman Jr., 76, husband of Rhonda Parrish Bowman, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021.
Born on Aug. 2, 1945, in Versailles, he was the son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Ellen Lorine Harold Bowman. He worked for Jim Beam Distillery.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeff (Meta) Bowman and Michael (Jennifer) Scott Mitchell; a sister, Agnes Rice; a brother, Lonnie (Sally) Bowman; six grandchildren, Whitney Reed, Madison Bowman, DeLaney Bowman, Morgan Mitchell, Jonah Mitchell and MaKaya Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lyndsey DeLaney Bowman; a sister, Juanita Jones; and a brother-in-law, Bobby Rice.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill Ave., by Bro. Wesley Noss and Chris Harper. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital.
