Albert Glass Fritz Jr. died July 6, 2022 at his home in Cape Coral, Florida.
He was born on March 14, 1940 in Reading, Pennsylvania to Albert Glass Fritz Sr. and Mary Harpel Fritz. He attended Wilson High School, Colorado College, and Penn State. As a merit scholar, he earned a law degree and practiced law in Long Beach, California.
Despite a lifetime of lung issues, he had a love for the outdoors studying geology, fly fishing, birdwatching and gardening. For many years he was in racehorse partnerships.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Smith Downey; step-daughter Shelley (Jason) Downey Consolo; grandson Elliot; one sister, Carole (Kevin) Coleman; sister-in-law Joyce Fritz; brother-in-law Kenny (Melanie) Smith; and sister-in-law Virginia (Danny) Means plus his extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Lynda, step-son Tye, and brothers Richard, Harry, George and Freddie.
There will be no services per his wishes.
