Robert Cecil Coyle, 88, widower of Nannie Lee Eagle Coyle, passed away on Tuesday morning, Aug. 25, 2026, at his home on Groggins Ferry in Jessamine County. He was born in Hardin County, Kentucky, on Dec. 10, 1937, to the late Virgil Aquilla Coyle and Lillian Mitchell Coyle.
Robert was a United States Army veteran and was a retired maintenance supervisor at Texas Instruments.
He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Lee (Patrick) Dennis; son, Jerry Wayne Coyle; and grandson, Cody Allen Clark. Additional survivors include his siblings, David Coyle, Orville Coyle and Ruby Jones.
He was preceded in death by siblings Anita Tate and Billy Coyle.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Bro. Jay Webb officiating. Interment followed at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Patrick Dennis, Rick Clark, Dale Kelly, Forrest Baldwin, Matthew Evans and Donald Johnson. The visitation was held on Friday, Aug. 28 at the funeral home.
